A composite title is issued to
each house owner, comprising:
(a) the freehold share of the lessee in the
whole block, and
(b) the leasehold interest of the lessee in the
individual site.

behalf of the owners or beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries are called the beneficial
owners.

social order made up of hapū (kin groups) and
whānau (family groups), having a founding

Investment land
Land acquired by the Māori incorporation
after the Māori incorporation was
established may remain as investment land
and be held by the Māori incorporation as
general land 10.
The Māori incorporation is free to buy,
sell, and mortgage investment land and
to generally treat it in a businesslike way,
free of restrictions imposed by the Act.
