Te Kooti Whenua Māori – MāoriLand Court (MLC) is the
New Zealand Court that hears matters relating toMāoriland.
This new initiative provides a visual tool toMāoriland owners and users of Māorilandtoaccess information to assist in the utilisation and development of their land.
The class also encompasses all records to do with the use of land and with processes to change
Māoriland titles since the inception of the MāoriLand Court.
The
intended amendments are designed to provide
a strong platform for Māoriland owners, to
give Māoriland owners more autonomy and, if
they so choose, support to realise the economic
potential of their land.
