Community Law has always been close to her heart, and she is the Independent Māori Board Member on the Community Law Centres of Aotearoa National Board.
A different sort of
criticism is that developed by Alan Ward in his
book A Show of Justice (2nd ed, 1995), arguing
that Chief Judge Fenton ignored directions from
the legislature.
Disestablished in 1989, the former Department had
support staff located at many offices around New
Zealand who maintained minute book series for
judicial officers and/or bodies working in their
respective areas or for specific departmental or land
board activities.
As an example, in the Taitokerau District of the Māori
Land Court, minute books were maintained for
Auckland, the Bay of Islands, Kaikohe, Kaitaia and
Whangārei as well as for the District Māori Land
Boar...
Over the years, Piri has worked in service of her people in Whanganui including Awa FM, Te Oranganui Iwi Health Authority, Te Puna Matauranga o Whanganui and the Whanganui River Māori TrustBoard.
In the last 10 years, Piri has worked at the Māori Land Court in Whanganui and has recently been added to the MLC Leadership Team.
It is also called a trust order.
A trust order sets out the general purpose of the trust and
well as the responsibilities, rights, obligations, and
limitations of the trustees.
