Once you have submitted your application, our kaimahi will carry out research to check the information you have provided and make sure it is correct. We may need to contact you for further information, or to have a hui with you and your whānau.
Disputes can delay whānau connecting to and using whenua. Whānau who agree to enter mediation to resolve disputes can do so out of court, pay no filing fee and can practice the tikanga of your whānau and hapū in that mediation.
This includes the many applications that ought to have been heard in May but were not set down due to the May Pānui not being finalised before the lockdown.

Support was given for the formation of a whānautrust. An application to constitute a whānautrust was filed in 2004 and eventually heard in February of 2005.
