There are 27,137 Māori freehold land titles and approximately 2.3 million ownership interests in those titles. So we are dealing with multiple owners averaging 85 owners per title – the lowest 10% averaging 1 owner to each title, and the highest 10%, averaging 629 owners in each title.
The finalised list includes 348 owners. That number will change as life interests terminate, interests are consolidated into trusts, and applications for succession are filed with the Court.

An incorporation must maintain a register of interests for committee members setting out: the details of any beneficial interests held by each member any dealings in the beneficial interest by each member, and any declarations made by members of the committee.
