conducted in, and applications received by, the Mäori Land
Court.
Training was the key to delivery
With the support of the local judiciary,
kaiwhakaako, and pūkenga, our kaimahi were
supported by means of a training programme
throughout the year, designed to make the tran-
sition to our new way of working as seamless as
possible.
When we reflect on what
kāinga means to te iwi Māori, we instantly think
about our connections to the land, to Papatūānuku
and, of course, about the mahi we collectively
advance to ensure we are looking after her, our
land, our homes.
