The
replacement lawyer will need to file a memorandum with the Presiding Judge
addressing:
24.1 Whether they have the necessary experience to be appointed; and
24.2 Whether any of the existing estimates as approved will need to change.
Where the agenda includes changes to this trust order, the notice shall include a summary
of the proposed changes and shall state that a full copy of the proposed changes can be
obtained from the secretary, and provide contact details for the secretary.
Within two weeks after this meeting, the
committee must inform the Māori Land
Court of:
• the name, occupation, and address of the
appointed chairperson
• the name, occupation, and address of the
appointed secretary
• the place appointed as the registered
office of the Māori incorporation.
Within two weeks after this meeting, the
committee must inform the Māori Land
Court of:
• the name, occupation, and address of the
appointed chairperson
• the name, occupation, and address of the
appointed secretary
• the place appointed as the registered
office of the Māori incorporation.
Within two weeks
after this meeting, the committee must inform the MLC of:
• the name, occupation and address of appointed
chairperson
• the name, occupation and address of appointed secretary
• the place appointed as the registered office of the Māori
incorporation.
The status of the land will continue
to be Māori land unless and until the Māori Land Court makes an order changing
the status of the land.
3. A change of ownership of land gives the recipient of that interest the ownership
and its associated rights.
Each Trustee must think about each
action and decision of the Trustees and cannot simply rely on the other Trustees
to determine whether an action or decision should be undertaken;
(i) duty to comply with orders and directions of the Court;
(j) duty to notify the Court of change to contact address. The Trustees are
required to notify the Court of any change to the contact address for the Trust.
