Where land other than Māori land is to be exchanged a full description of that land so as to enable
it to be clearly identified together with particulars of all encumbrances recorded against the land
Where any piece of land to be exchanged is only part of the land comprised in a title, a plan defining
the piece to be exchanged.
Where the consent to the exchange has been given by a resolution passed under Part 9 of the Act
by the assembled owners, a copy of the resolution passed....
A further complication is that section 338(12) provides that the trustees of a Māori reservation may, with the consent of the Court, grant a lease or occupation licence of a reservation for a term not exceeding 14 years (including any term or terms of renewal).

They allow others to use traditional Māori knowledge without consent or
acknowledgement. They provide little or no protection against offensive or derogatory uses of Māori
artistic and cultural works.
For example, an
application for succession will require a
death certificate, any grant of administration
(probate 2 or letters of administration 3) or the
original will, minutes of a whānau meeting if
a whānau trust is required and consents of
the proposed trustees.
Each application will have different
requirements and these are usually set out
in the application form or can be checked
with Court staff.
