Court operating protocols withdrawn; jury trial
guidelines modified
COVID-19 court operating protocols for all jurisdictions have been withdrawn, and
the Jury Trial Protocol and Jury Trial Guidelines have been modified, effective today.
At 2025 Chief Judge’s MB 373-390 (4 February 2025) the Court made orders amending a succession order to Teone Karepe I or Hoani Karepe at 32 T 117-119 (30 May 1972) and cancelling a succession order to Porokuru Te Kiwi at 155 ROT MB 234 (30 November 1970). If you are affected by these orders, please email mlc.chief-registrars.office@justice.govt.nz for further information.
They stepped into the acting leadership of the Court and Tribunal from 1 May 2023 and will do so until a new Chief Judge is sworn in and a new Chairperson appointed.
