There are many ways Māori connect with and utilise whenua, depending on the economic, social, and cultural aspirations of the whānau for the whenua.
Where the default duties listed in Schedule 1 conflict with provisions made in Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, the duty has been amended or expressly excluded.
This form is designed to be generic and allow for different types of application under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 and other legislative provisions.
