Rights to land have always been a pivotal driver in Polynesian society.
Benefits Descendants are involved as owners of the land and exercise their voting rights sooner. Dispute resolution Before 6 February 2021 In many cases the only option for owners to resolve disputes over their land is through the Court.
Leasehold title: A land title giving the person(s) listed a limited set of rights in the land in question (such as a right to occupy or utilise the land) for a fixed period of time.
(e) To buy, lease or exchange; to purchase, take on lease, take in exchange, hire or otherwise acquire any real or personal property and rights and privileges which the Trustees may think necessary or convenient in furtherance of the objects of the Trust.
They can grant leases or licences for more than seven years, with several rights of renewal, if the purpose is for either education or health.
