Some people become landowners when a whānau member transfersland to them by gift or sale. The MaoriLand Court will ‘vest’ the land interest by way of a vesting order.
This class of records also includes information related to making changes to land title through the
sale of Māoriland, transfer of shares in Māoriland between owners or to new shareholders,
alienation of Māoriland by lease or license, including the licensing of timber, flax and mineral
rights.
Use this form when transferring interests in MāoriLand by sale or gift between owners in the same block, owners and
their children or owners and any other member of the preferred class of alienee.
