Pātaka Whenua Step-By-Step Guides
Search for a block
Date produced: 25 July 2024
Last modified: 25 July 2024
This guide covers two ways to search for a block in the Pātaka Whenua online portal:
• using the Search menu to find a block (page 2),
• locating it visually with the Block Map (page 4).
Its
183 kaimahi are spread across seven District Offices and two Information Offices across the
motu. They deliver a comprehensive range of services promoting the retention, use of, and
development of Māori land as a taonga tuku iho by Māori landowners, their whanau and
hapu, and their descendants.
The project has proven, simply by the volume of work completed and by the number of title anomalies uncovered, that both title systems were in a parlous and unsatisfactory state. In general, however, we can be satisfied that the work completed has been of assistance to the majority of owners.
This guide briefly overviews two
of the main ways to access this by either:
• using the Search menu to find the block (page 1),
• locating it visually with the Block Map (page 3).
