Registration The Māori Land court will register all partition orders with Land information new Zealand. Land information new Zealand will issue a provisional register title for the land.

To close an unformed private road the landowner’s agreement is required. To close an unformed public road, agreement from the local council or the New Zealand Transport Agency (for a highway/motorway) is required.

Five out of the thirteen judges on the bench are women – Chief Judge Isaac has recently noted that such a gender balance does not exist on any other Court bench in New Zealand outside of the Supreme Court.
