Whāngai is a Māori custom where a child is raised by someone other than their birth parents – in many cases, by a blood relative.
If it is and no one objects to your
application, it can be decided by a registrar. If you would
prefer your application to be heard by a judge in court, you
can indicate this on the applicationform.
Authority and Instruction form: A prescribed form which authorises and instructs a
lawyer to take certain actions on behalf of the landowners such as registering a
mortgage.

To transfer your land by gift or sale to a someone who is not a member of the preferred class of alienee (link to definition), you will need to apply for a confirmation of alienee.
