Final resolution
That an application be filed with the Māori Land Court to constitute the [name of ahu whenua
or whenua tōpū trust], appoint [list the full names of the elected trustees] as trustees and
approve the draft trust order.
These need not be terminated upon appointment to the bench,
and subject to actual conflicts of interest arising from knowledge of clients or
circumstances, such connections should not generally affect a judge’s impartiality.
This includes who are beneficiaries of the trust, the
name and contact details of the trustees, and information about
the appointment or removal of trustees.
Trustees must also provide other information about the trust to a
beneficiary if they request it.
