In many instances the Court must choose between appointing inexperienced trustees to manage land or making no appointments at all.
A whānau trust was formed at that stage with myself and two cousins being appointed as trustees. Initial lands vested into the whānau trust came from the uncle who had been appointed as the whānau administrator in 1967.

In the application, you’ll need provide proof that: other owners have been given notice of the creation of the trust a hui was held, and an agreement was reached the terms of the trust have been proposed consent has been given to create the trust or incorporation the trustees to be appointed have consented to their appointment Committee of Management Members have been nominated.
(g) Any costs incurred by the appointment of a private mediator will be shared equally between the parties unless agreed otherwise.
