Māori trustee
The Māori trustee administers many Māori land blocks and
distributes money to the owners.
(state your full name), apply for an Occu-
pation Order over the Māori freehold land or General Land owned by Māori named above as the site for a house.
We have trusts and incorporations worth in excess of $100 million. For example: Tuaropaki - $667million, Lake Taupo Forest - $165million, PKW Incorporation - $162million, The Proprietors of Atihau-Whanganui - $178million, to name but a few.
The reform, which has received both support
and criticism, aims to make it easier for
Māori land owners to use and develop their
land according to their aspirations, whilst
recognising the significance of Māori land
and ensuring appropriate safeguards for its
retention.
