the role. In July 2023, Judge Fox was appointed Chief Judge of the
Māori Land Court - Te Kaiwhakawā Matua o Te Kooti Whenua
Māori.
Chief Judge Fox is the
sevententh Chief Judge of the
Māori Land Court, and the
first wāhine Māori appointed
as a Chief Judge. She was first
appointed as a judge of the
Māori Land Court in 2000,
before becoming Deputy Chief
Judge in 2010.
