The purpose of the National Pänui / Te Pänui ä Motu is
to provide notice to interested parties of hearings being
conducted in, and applications received by, the Mäori Land
Court.
This growth was driven by an increase
in the number of new applications created,
underpinned by staff tackling a backlog of new
applications awaiting processing that had built up
from the year prior, and by the number of applica-
tions completed continuing to be impacted by the
changes within the court.
Finances
4.5 The trustees will receive and apply monies due and ensure that accounts are properly kept so that there is at
all times a good record of the finances of the marae.
4.6 The accounts need not be audited annually, but if serious questions are raised about the accounts, the
trustees will ensure that an audit of the accounts is undertaken by a suitably qualified person.
