They can be constructed to access your land until they are closed and handed back to the owners of the surrounding land blocks.

Chief Judge Fox was appointed as a Māori Land Court judge on 1 October 2000, and shortly thereafter was appointed as the Presiding Officer of the Waitangi Tribunal’s Central North Island district inquiry in 2001.
In my experience this land does not exist! One hundred years ago this misconception was responsible for the Crown purchasing much of Te Urewera lands.
She is one of the resident Judges for the Tairāwhiti District of the Māori Land Court based in Wellington.
