Tēnā koutou katoa, We are sorry for the delays in processing and any frustration you may be experiencing. Te Kooti Whenua Māori has been on a change journey for the past few years.
HE KUPU WHAKATŪPATO As part of our responsibility to care and protect the court record, and because much of that record is old and sometimes fragile, it is not always possible to view the physical record. If you have any pātai about viewing documents in hard copy, please contact us.
In Pātaka Whenua, landowners can access this information online, from anywhere at any time. They can also submit applications and enquiries online and receive real time updates.
And you can do that at any time of the day or night from wherever you are in the world.
By June 2025, new applications were being registered within three months, considerably faster than at any stage earlier in the year. Responsiveness to enquiries has also improved through the establishment of dedicated Information Services teams at each office.
