Rule 5.11(2)(b) of the MāoriLandCourt Rules 2011 states that a report must be produced and made available to the public of all applications filed in the MāoriLandCourt that are six months or older and where a final decision has not yet been made on that application.
If an owner with Māoriland interests is deceased, and probate, letters of administration or an election to administer
the estate have been granted by High Court, or is to be obtained, you can use this form to seek a determination from
the Court as to those persons entitled to a deceased’s MāoriLand interests and an order transferring the interests to
those entitled.
No record of these conversations will be publicly available on the MāoriLandCourt record.
If an agreement is reached through mediation, the mediator will record the terms of the agreement and provide this to the MāoriLandCourt.
