Nanaia Mahuta, Associate Minister of Māori Development, announced the appointment of Chief Judge Caren Leslie Fox as the Chairperson of the Waitangi Tribunal. Chief Judge Fox is a descendent of Ngāti Porou and Rongowhakaata, with ties to Te Whānaua Apanui.
