• Whānautrust
This is a whānau-oriented trust. It allows the whānau to
bring together their Māori land interests for the benefit
of the whānau and their descendants
Whenua tōpū trusts, again a land management trust, which provide for iwi or hapū based
trusts designed to facilitate the use and administration of the land on behalf of a wider class
of owner, normally a whānau, hapū or iwi grouping.
Those entitled to succeed do not wish to form a whānautrust.
Those entitled to succeed have conferred and wish to vest the interests of the deceased into a whānautrust.
