The objectives of these seminars are to -

Updated interim list of owners of the Toitoi SILNA Block Crown Land Block VIII Lords
River Survey District (South Island Landless Natives Act 1906)
The Māori Land Court has released an updated working list of potential owners entitled to
the Toitoi Land (Crown Land Block VIII Lords River Survey District) under Section 15 of
Ngāi Tahu Deed of Settlement 1997.
That invitation is not made by an order of the Court but by the hope for parties to move forward and strengthen the relationships and kinship ties of the whānau involved. This judgment is a significant milestone in the Māori Land Court and for Māori landowners.
An application was filed in the Court by Johnson Raumati, a
descendant of Mary Naera for a Judicial Conference under section 67 Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993.
The applicant filed the application to seek solutions to prevent the sale by Council and to secure the
future of the land for Mary’s whānau.
Grounds for application:
I am a party to a contract or arrangement relating to the proposed transfer; or
I am the transferor/donor of the land or interest; or
I am a trustee for a person entitled to the land or interest
