Our Courts
The Māori Land Court operates over seven dis-
tricts across Aotearoa, with district offices located
from Whangārei in the north to Ōtautahi in the
south. In addition to these district offices, we have
an information office in Auckland and the Chief
Registrar’s Office in Wellington.

Māori Purposes Act 1983
The Māori Purposes Act 1983 enables the Court to determine entitlements to Tītī Islands interests.
Māori Purposes Act 1991
The Māori Purposes Act 1991 has limited powers extended to the Court in relation to the Wi Pere Trust.
