While a number of the sessions were not directly relevant to our work in the Māori Land Court, all sessions were interesting and had aspects which made you think about the work we do and how we do our work. It was fascinating and sometimes astonishing to hear some of the comments of Chief Justices from context and systems so very different from the system we have.
The time and travel costs associated with attending a court sitting are removed when an application can be decided by a registrar.
