The order will be written up in the Court title records if it
affects land, and sent to every person who has to act on it,
for example, to the Māori trustee if they’ve been ordered to
pay money they’re holding, or a Māori incorporation5 if the
order affects shares in that incorporation.
QUORUM
The total number of trustees is the number appointed by the
MLC. Note, though, that this total includes absent trustees,
deceased trustees and resigning trustees who have not
been replaced, or where the number of trustees has not
been reduced by the MLC.
Agencies such as the Māori Land Court, the Māori Trustee, Collections, and the Electoral Enrolment Centre all have separate databases with addresses of Māori land owners.
