Our record holds information about court decisions, and the conversations about how those decisions are made. It also holds information about the whakapapa of landowners.
It is a good idea to ask them about:
What land blocks you might be an owner in
An accurate record of your whakapapa
How you became an owner or beneficiary to your whenua.
You can bring whānau with you to court to support you and your application. If you are a whānau or hapū member who did not submit the application but would like to speak in Court, you can file a ‘ Notice of intention to appear upon application ’.
The identified successors will take part in the upcoming voting process, about how the land will be received and held.
