The Court may, on considering your notification, arrange for the application to be set down for a formal hearingif the
application has yet to be determined or for a rehearing if the application has already been determined.
Procedure for the Courthearing
As the applicant, you need to report to a
Court officer at the hearing so that the Court
is aware that the applicant is present.
Ifyou wish this application to be handled without appearance
and formal hearing, you should indicate Yes in question 24 and complete the following request.
Māori Land Courthearing
The person applying for a partition order
will need to attend a hearing of the Māori
Land court to explain how the partition
will provide for better use of the land. if all
requirements of the act have been met and
the Māori Land court agrees, an order will
be made to partition the land.
