The purpose of the National Pänui / Te Pänui ä Motu is
to provide notice to interested parties of hearings being
conducted in, and applications received by, the Mäori Land
Court.
Only applications and sittings that were confirmed at the
time of this publication are listed.
If you are interested in, or affected by, one of these applications and wish to make
representations concerning the application, you must notify the Court in writing by 4pm on the 1st day of
March 2023 providing your name, address, telephone number and email address (if any) and setting out your
connection with the application and brief details of your concerns.
Whilst the commission did have hearings in the Kaipara, it was subsequently replaced by
the current court of record known as the Native Land Court under the Native Lands Act 1865.
The land that this application focussed on - the remaining part of the Crown grant
section - was never sold along with the land formed by accretion which adjoins it.
