The drafters of the Act clearly
understood the dynamics of Māori landand Māori landowners.
Accordingly, under the Act the engaged owners presently make decisions about their
land through the legal structures of trusts and incorporations.
This information in my view should be brought together and made available to the Māori Land Court, and then to an owner who wishes to develop his landand needs to notify owners.
