Judge Isaac and Judge Coxhead attended the 17th Conference of Chief Justices of Asia and the Pacific.
The former Chief Judge, Judge Isaac, retired from his role on 30 April, and accordingly Deputy Chief Judge Fox and Deputy Chairperson Judge Reeves have taken up the roles of Acting Chief Judge and Acting Chairperson respectively.

On 30 April 2023, Judge Isaac celebrated his 70th birthday, completing his warrant as Chief Judge of the Court and Chairperson of the Waitangi Tribunal.
On 27 April 2020, we moved into Alert Level 3 and Chief Judge Isaac released a Level 3 protocol. 3 The protocol provided that applications that were postponed due to Level 4 would be dealt with on the papers where possible.
