Currently, the land is effectively held in trust until the owners can receive the land. There are 308 original owners.
Absolute interests are not subject to any other restrictions or orders (not in a trust, not a remainder interest or a life interest).
Some trusts and incorporations also provide financial assistance through grants and scholarships.
For example, for an application for succession, you’ll need a death certificate, any grant of administration (grant of probate2 or letters of administration3) or the original will, minutes of a whānau meeting if a whānau trust is required, and consents of the proposed trustees.
