E Alana Miriana Thomas , nau mai me ōu pūkenga maha hei hua mo ngāi Māori. I am very pleased to announce the Minister for Māori development has confirmed the appointment of Alana Miriana Thomas as a permanent judge of the Māori Land Court.
If an owner with Māori land interests is deceased, and probate, letters of administration or an election to administer
the estate have been granted by High Court, or is to be obtained, you can use this form to seek a determination from
the Court as to those persons entitled to a deceased’s Māori Land interests and an order transferring the interests to
those entitled.
Use this form to file an appeal against a final decision or determination of the Māori Land Court.
An appeal under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 may only be lodged within 2 months from the date of the
decision or determination, unless accompanied by an application seeking leave to appeal out of time on Form 1.
