Appeals to MāoriLandCourt - for issues about access to Māoriland to work on water infrastructure
This kind of appeal is different from appealing orders made by the MāoriLandCourt.
If an owner of Māori freehold land in multiple ownership has paid more than their share of water services changes, they can apply to the MāoriLandCourt for a “charging order” to recover the excess amount paid.

MĀORILANDCOURT CONTACT DETAILS
Applications should be lodged with the Registrar in the MāoriLandCourt District in which some or all of the lands or the subject matter
of the application is located.
Use this form when exchanging some or all of your interests in MāoriLand by sale or gift with some or all of the MāoriLand interests of a different owner in a different block of MāoriLand.
Some people become landowners when a whānau member transfers land to them by gift or sale. The MaoriLandCourt will ‘vest’ the land interest by way of a vesting order.
Where the relevant tikanga does not recognise a relationship
that entitles whāngai to succeed, the MāoriLandCourt may
issue a courtorder giving whāngai a lifetime right to receive
income or grants from the land or the right to occupy the
family home on the land, or both.
