Use this form to apply to the Court for a partition of MāoriLand or the combined partition of Māori and General Land
to separate out owner’s shares into new land titles.
The
intended amendments are designed to provide
a strong platform for Māori landowners, to
give Māori landowners more autonomy and, if
they so choose, support to realise the economic
potential of their land.
As a result, from time to time the MāoriLand Court receives applications to extend existing urupā, or to set aside Māori freehold land, or sometimes General land owned by Māori, as new urupā reservations.
They document not only the statutory functions of the Court of
record in New Zealand but also reflect the political and social climate affecting Māori and legislation
relating to Māori.

Definition of succession
Māoriland is owned by either one owner or several owners.
Use this form to apply to the Court for an order vesting part or all of any MāoriLand or General Land owned by Māori
in an owner or a person entitled to succeed to an owner for the purpose of a house site or to confirm an existing house
site (including a house that has already been built and is located on the land).
Use this form to create an Ahu Whenua Trust (a land trust) by vesting one or more land blocks in trustees to
manage, as set out in a trust deed/order on behalf of the beneficial owner(s).
