Te Kooti Whenua Māori – MāoriLand Court (MLC) is the
New Zealand Court that hears matters relating to Māoriland.
The special
bond between Māori people and the land is
recognised by the MāoriLand Court, and the
records held by this Court form an invaluable
part of the whakapapa of all Māori.
Any final terms of trust are subject to confirmation by the MāoriLand Court in accordance with
sections 219 or 244 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993.
