If the Court considers that the order should be
completed without delay/issued without the appeal
period, the Court will declare the order to be
"completed without delay" and then the order can
be released immediately (Rule 7.5(2)(b) of the
Māori Land Court Rules 2011)

The traditional Māori tribal hierarchy and social order
made up of hapū (kin groups) and whānau (family
groups), having a founding ancestor and territorial
(tribal) boundaries.
Instead, the key test is quite appropriately that there is no “meritorious
objection” to the formation of the trust (s 215(4)(b)). The drafters of the Act clearly
understood the dynamics of Māori land and Māori land owners.
