Mick was a pioneer for many of the initiatives we now see in the Youth Justice area – restorative justice, and court sittings on marae – and a real character in the courtroom.
In 2011 he was appointed as a High Court Judge in Niue, in 2016 as a Justice of the High Court of the Cook Islands, and in 2018, as the Chief Justice of Niue.
