Payment orders are often made during a succession, when we become aware that money is being held.
To apply for an order of payment, you will need to provide:
evidence of funds held in trust, how much and by whom
evidence that the funds are held in trust for you or the beneficiaries, and
persons entitled to that payment.
Such property may include the moneys
and investments held by the Trustees on behalf of the Trust from time to time.

Some marae are lucky enough to be supported, at least in part, by ahu whenua land trusts which may make donations, in money or in kind, to keep the marae running.
With shares held by individuals becoming increasingly fractionated but shares held in whānau trusts being relatively stable, I foresee a time when these whānau trusts will be major shareholders in trusts and incorporations.
