On 14 December 2022, the Māori Land Court issued its first fully bilingual judgment in both te reo Māori and English.
A group of five successors were elected and the Hāwea-Wānaka SILNA group formed in 2024. The group is representing the successors to the Hāwea-Wānaka block and receiving advice regarding how the land could be received.
