On 30 October 2015 we turned 150 and to mark that milestone we produced a publication called ‘He Pou Herenga Tangata, He Pou Herenga Whenua, He Pou Whare Kōrero – 150 Years of the Māori LandCourt’ Our publication provides a detailed history of the origins of the NativeLandCourt and looks at the role of the Court over its 150 year history.
The special
bond between Māori people and the land is
recognised by the Māori LandCourt, and the
records held by this Court form an invaluable
part of the whakapapa of all Māori.
