The purpose of the National Pänui / Te Pänui ä Motu is
to provide noticeto interested parties of hearings being
conducted in, and applications received by, the Mäori Land
Court.
Judges should be alert to
any appearanceof bias arising out of connections with litigants, witnesses or their legal
advisors, and should always inform the parties of facts that might reasonably give rise to
a perception of bias or conflict of interest.
