Where a grant of letters of administration 19
or probate 20 has been issued, the executor 21
may apply directly to the Māori incorporation
to transfer the deceased’s shares to the
successors 22.
QUORUMS
The quorum for general meetings is 20 shareholders, or
the number of shareholders equal to two-thirds of the total
number of shareholders (whichever is less).
Interests of a child
When the successor is a child at the time the MLC makes
the succession order, the Court can also appoint a kaitiaki16
trustee to act for the child until they are 20 years of age or
marry, whichever is sooner.
