Filing an application in respect of the following:

injury to Māori freehold land
(b) hearing and determining any proceeding founded on contract or tort where debt,
demand, or damage relates to Māori freehold

Of the approximately 2.3 million ownership interests in Māori land, anecdotal evidence indicates that about half of these interests are held by deceased persons; many land interests are owned by the same person under multiple names; and many owners live far from their land and, in some cases, do not know they are ownersof Māori land at all.
Use this form to request a confirmed search of interests that may be held in the nameof any deceased
person who may have interests in Māori Freehold Land.
