Use this form to create an Ahu Whenua Trust (a land trust) by vesting one or more land blocks in trustees to manage, as set out in a trust deed/order on behalf of the beneficial owner(s).

Occupying or building on Māori land is one of the most common uses and it enables whānau to connect with their whenua.

An obvious corollary to that proposition is, subject to the available resources and infrastructure of the trust to cater for such procedures. For example, one ahu whenua trust has over 8,000 beneficial owners for an area of land less than 200 hectares with income of less than $10,000.00 per annum.

The form must be signed by the transferor and witnessed by one other person. The witness must state their address and occupation.
