the number of customary and freehold titles of Māori land
the number and types of management structures and the size of the land they are responsible for managing.

the application of a corporate model to the management of Māori land
autonomy from the normal Māori Land Court practices that apply to trusts, and
voting and resolutions by shareholders are based on the number of shares held, rather than the number of votes received.

When you have located the correct management structure and it is displayed in the Search
results area, click the number in the Organisation ID column to open the management structure
information page.

Once you open the management structure information page, you will find several different sections
including:
• name and ID details,
• a list of organisation members,
• and the originated documents list.
In the issues paper produced
in April 2021 by the Law Commission entitled “Review of Succession: Rights to a person’s property on
death” the paper identifies a number of tikanga that I consider to be relevant and reproduce here.
