Aorere Accretion determination of status and ownership of land
He died in 1877 without issue, and now rests in a small urupā near Aorere/Collingwood. It is not clear from the written sources, why Ngāti Awa finally left the Aorere pā, but it is understood council buildings were erected on the land around 1950.
